Een Luxurious gîte

On the domain of Château Frandeux a luxurious “gîte” is situated; the Boulangerie. During the renovation in 2007 of a wing of the castle farm adjacent to the Chateau, an attractive holiday home was realized . It possesses all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay. The area offers a rich variety of possibilities for recreation: hiking, biking, kayaking and visiting historical places. The “gîte” is a great base for various excursions throughout the year. The “gîte” is ideally suited for small (yoga)groups, but also offers enough room for other forms of residence.

By combining the Boulangerie with the Écurie, also located in an other wing of the castle farm, there is the possibility of extending the capacity by renting extra bedrooms, halls and a kitchen/dining room in the Écurie, so that the residence is also very suitable for retreats, courses, etc.

The main entrance is located at the courtyard of the castle farm, which includes a covered terrace, a nice sheltered location which can be useed in all seasons.

On the ground floor are several areas: kitchen, dining room and living room. In the hall is a toilet and a storage / laundry room. On the first floor are 4 bedrooms. Here is a second entrance which gives access to a garden. On the second floor are 4 bedrooms, including a room for children/ extra room. This floor also has a lounge area.

All rooms are equipped with private shower, washing stand and toilet (excluding the children’s room).

In the living room there is a wood stove. Comfortable lounge sofas are placed around it.

The house is heated by floor heating (living) and centrally heated via a heat pump system (airco in summer) and normal central heating.

The open kitchen is fully equipped: refrigerator, dishwasher, electric oven, gas cooker, coffee maker, etc.

In the adjacent storage / laundry room is an extra fridge, a freezer, washing machine and dryer at your disposal. Both terraces are provided with garden furniture .

In addition to the two terraces and the elevated garden mentioned earlier, there is the possibility to walk in the surrounding forest. However, to ensure the privacy of the Château’s tenants, there are restrictions on the use of the area around the Château.

As a guest of the Boulangerie, you have your own swimming spot and fire pit by the lake.

Wood-Fired Oven
Next to the Boulangerie is an authentic wood-fired stone oven where you can bake bread or pizzas.
